Tuesday 25 February at 4.00 p.m. MAR hosts Dusciana Bravura, the Ravenna artist who for the occasion presents the catalogue LE METAMORFOSI DEGLI OGGETTI E DELLE IMMAGINI published by Stear Ravenna, realised on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name that last summer introduced the 9th edition of the Biennial of Contemporary Mosaics starting next October. Alongside the artist, speakers include: Roberto Cantagalli director of the MAR, Linda Kniffitz, Serena Simoni and Paolo Trioschi , authors of the texts in the catalogue, embellished by the photographs in the exhibition by Elizaveta Sineva.
Born in Venice, Dusciana Bravura lives and works between Ravenna and Venice and is one of the most appreciated interpreters of contemporary mosaic, with several international exhibition experiences. A graduate of the Art Institute for Mosaics in Ravenna and then the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, alongside her father Marco she has created significant public works in various cities such as Beiurut, Pesaro, Ravenna and Forlì.
The meeting, open to the public with free admission, is promoted by the Municipality of Ravenna-Assessorato alla Cultura and Mosaico e MAR.
