GUERRINO TRAMONTI. A Story of Art
August 30 – September 28, 2025
Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste, Ravenna
Opening: Saturday, August 30, 6:00 PM
From August 30 to September 28, 2025, the historic halls of Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste in Ravenna will host the exhibition “Guerrino Tramonti. A Story of Art”, part of the ongoing program Twentieth Century Revealed, dedicated to key figures in 20th-century Italian art.
This exhibition celebrates the multifaceted work of Guerrino Tramonti (Faenza, 1915–1992), an artist who made significant contributions to both painting and ceramics. The exhibition traces the most important moments of his artistic journey, from his early works in the 1930s to his mature period, showcasing a selection of pieces from the Guerrino Tramonti Foundation in Faenza.
Special focus is given to Tramonti’s lesser-known “Venetian” painting period, including his collaboration with Filippo De Pisis, and the evolution of his visual language, culminating in his celebrated and innovative ceramic work. Set within the elegant rooms of Palazzo Rasponi, the exhibition offers an in-depth look at the many “souls” of Tramonti’s art and his wide-ranging creative output.
The initiative is promoted by the Department of Culture and Mosaics of the Municipality of Ravenna, the MAR – Art Museum of the City of Ravenna, in collaboration with the Guerrino Tramonti Foundation and the Municipality of Faenza.
Curated by Laura Ruffoni and Paolo Trioschi.
