On the occasion of World Ocean Day, the LIFE NatuReef project is participating in a public event dedicated to the discovery of the Adriatic Sea, its biodiversity and sustainable solutions for the protection of coastal ecosystems.

The meeting, organised in collaboration with the University of Bologna, the Soroptimist Club Ravenna and the MAR – Ravenna City Art Museum, proposes a journey through images, scientific tales and visual testimonies to deepen the knowledge of our sea.

Programme:

Introduction and moderation by Elena Fabbri, lecturer at the University of Bologna and President of Soroptimist Club Ravenna
Jacopo Alessandri (University of Bologna) – The Adriatic Sea and its currents in the Ravenna coastline
Mauro Pazzi (diving instructor) – Discovering the underwater environments of the Adriatic Sea: between Ravenna and Albania
Simone Modugno (marine biologist) – Foce del Bevano: flying over nature
Massimo Ponti (University of Bologna) – LIFE NatuReef: A natural solution for the protection of the coast and marine biodiversity at the Bevano estuary

At the end, an interactive quiz will involve the audience to test their knowledge on the fragility of the Adriatic coast.
