This summer, great cinema arrives at the MAR
In collaboration with Cinemadivino and the MAR Art Caffè Garden Bistrot.
Three evenings (25 July with the film Final Portrait by Stanley Tucci, 20 August with the film Frida by Julie Taymor, and 3 September with the film The Square by Ruben Östlund) in which art, cinema and wine dialogue in an ancient space full of history, but also alive and welcoming.
CINEMADIVINO 2025 is the 22nd edition of a festival that brings art-house cinema to the most evocative places in Emilia-Romagna, accompanied by wine tastings and small gastronomic wonders. A travelling cultural project that stages the pleasure of watching together, under the stars.
On Friday 25 July at the MAR, Stanley Tucci’s film Final Portrait will be screened. During a trip to Paris, American writer James Lord meets Alberto Giacometti, an internationally famous artist, who asks him to pose for him. It is the beginning of an unusual and touching friendship in the name of beauty and art.
Programme:
meeting at 7.30 p.m. at the MAR with wine tasting by the Giovannini Winery
followed by a guided tour of the contemporary mosaics collection by the MAR staff
9.30 p.m. screening of the film
