Ánemos – from the Greek word for life breath, soul – is the title of the anthological exhibition by Graziano Spinosi, an artist from Romagna and lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna. The exhibition, held in six rooms of Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste in Ravenna, features twenty-two sculptures, created from 1999 to more recent ones. The title of the exhibition refers to the ontological character of the author’s research: works that investigate the theme of birth, identity and childhood. The first rooms house large-scale sculptures that make up the Nidi cycle, originally conceived over twenty years ago. A central room, on the other hand, hosts a series of works created in Rome in the 1990s, i.e. a selection of ‘shoes’ made from a variety of materials and dedicated to masters of art history. The exhibition then concludes with Il Fanciullino, a work inspired by the philosophical reflections of Plato and Giovanni Pascoli.
The exhibition Ánemos is promoted by the Municipality of Ravenna-Assessorato alla Cultura, MAR – Museo d’Arte della città di Ravenna and Accademia di Belle Arti di Ravenna, curated by Daniele Torcellini and Paolo Trioschi,
