Masterclass with Guido Guidi and Mariano Andreani
MAR – Museo d’Arte della Città di Ravenna presents In Accademia, a masterclass with Guido Guidi and Mariano Andreani scheduled for 20 and 21 June 2026.
The initiative forms part of the project In Accademia, curated by Silvia Loddo, among the winners of the call for proposals Strategia Fotografia 2025 promoted by Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea del Ministero della Cultura.
The project stems from the connection between Guido Guidi and the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna, where the photographer taught for over thirty years, and takes shape through the acquisition of a collection of works dedicated to the spaces and daily life of the Academy. The images convey a narrative woven from environments, tools and people, in which every element becomes part of a reflection on seeing and knowing.
The masterclass offers a significant opportunity for direct engagement with one of the leading figures in contemporary Italian photography. Through lectures, discussions and analysis of his work, participants will be invited to reflect on the ‘thinking gaze’ that characterises Guidi’s practice, understood as a form of careful observation of reality and its transformations.
