The VIII edition of the Biennale of Contemporary Mosaics will take place in Ravenna from 14 October 2023 to 14 January 2024.
The entire city and its most fascinating sights will welcome artists from all over the world with a programme of events: monuments, museums, monasteries, and symbolic spaces will become open galleries where ancient and contemporary art are constantly connected.
During the Biennale of Contemporary Mosaics of Ravenna, various events and guided tours will be open to the public, particularly to kids, because mosaic workshops and guided visits will be organised for them. In addition, Ravenna will hold an extensive program of conventions and conferences celebrating the mosaic as a form of art.
The Biennale of Contemporary Mosaics is organized and promoted by the Municipality of Ravenna under the careful curatorship of Daniele Torcellini and MAR – Art Museum of the City of Ravenna. The realization was possible thanks to the Project of the Ministry of Tourism intended to promote Ravenna City of Mosaics, the Emilia-Romagna Region, Fondazione Gardini, Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna, and Romagna Acque Società delle Fonti.
