On Friday 2 May at 6 p.m., the MAR will host the first date of the review Elementi, curated by MAGMA, with the performance ‘Ima Koko Watashi’ by Chikako Kaido: an experience of instant improvisation between music and dance.
The event, part of Elementi 2025 curated by Magma, will feature performances by talented dancers and musicians from different parts of the world, including Japan and Germany. Conceived by choreographer Chikako Kaido, the 30-40 minute performance is based on the idea of capturing the fleetingness of the present moment through dance. The artists work on the moment that is about to vanish, creating a unique and unrepeatable experience for the audience. The project has already stopped in Düsseldorf, Wuppertal, Cologne, Liège, Brussels and Tokyo, and will continue to tour until 2025. For the Italian performance in May 2025, the show will be performed by three dancers: Chikako Kaido, Kristin Shuster and Antonio Stella, accompanied by percussionists Enrico Malatesta and Le Quan Ninh.
Event upon reservation (limited places). To reserve your place, please write to riservaree@gmail.com.
