The Novecento Rivelato exhibition pays tribute to Raffaele De Grada, a Milanese teacher and critic who was a key figure in Ravenna’s artistic scene. He was a teacher and then director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna and the Municipal Art Gallery between 1971 and 1976, during which time he also involved leading artists and intellectuals in the city. Today, tribute is paid to that fundamental artistic period through an exhibition of one of De Grada’s most significant achievements in the area: the creation of the 1974 exhibition “Pittura in Romagna” (Painting in Romagna), particularly the contemporary section, with works created by artists from the post-war period to the early 1970s.
