Once again this year, Il MAR dei piccoli is hosting a theatrical journey: Pinocchio. A playful journey in seven movements, an interactive exhibition-show conceived by Drammatico Vegetale and produced by Ravenna Teatro, to mark the 200th anniversary of Carlo Collodi’s birth.
The initiative is aimed at children aged 3 to 10 and consists of events dedicated to both schools and families. The matinées for schools will take place on Friday 6, Tuesday 10, Wednesday 11, Thursday 12 and Friday 13 February, with two performances at 9.15am and 10.30am, while the performances for families are scheduled for Saturday 7 February at 11am and 3pm.
The famous puppet’s long wooden nose becomes the leitmotif of a journey that moves between reality and fantasy, truth and fiction, play and discovery. The staging, conceived as a sequence of scenes inspired by Collodi’s story, accompanies the audience on an experience guided by a narrator, capable of intertwining imagination and educational value. Through a dialogue between puppetry, music, plastic arts and visual arts, the exhibition-show actively involves children, inviting them to explore the museum space in a participatory and immersive way. Tradition and experimentation come together in a shared experience, in which the museum is transformed into a place of storytelling, interaction and play.
