The MAR is proposed as a space of sociality and access to knowledge for all, promoting the removal of physical, cultural and social barriers with the aim of educating heritage. Accessibility interventions are entirely funded by the PNRR
Physical barriers: all floors of the museum are accessible for people with disabilities, there is an elevator (floors 0-2) and two ramps (cloister-gardens). The narrowest passage is 90 cm. The museum provides a wheelchair for its users, which can be requested freely at the ticket office.
Sensory and cognitive barriers: there are maps and tactile aids as well as multimedia guides in LIS present within the app MIX – Museum Interaction Experience. In addition, MAR provides specific courses and workshops, made on demand to meet special needs. For more information and to organize a special visit, call or send an email to giuliatubertini@comune.ravenna.it
Pets: service dogs for disabled people are always allowed. For reasons related to the security of the preserved heritage, in addition to service dogs, only small animals are allowed (held in their arms or in a special carrier).
