Great cinema arrives at the MAR this summer
In collaboration with Cinemadivino and the MAR Art Caffè Garden Bistrot.
This is the last of three evenings (25 July with the film Final Portrait by Stanley Tucci, 20 August with the film Frida by Julie Taymor and 3 September with the film The Square by Ruben Östlund) in which art, cinema and wine dialogue in an ancient space full of history, but also alive and welcoming.
CINEMADIVINO 2025 is the 22nd edition of a festival that brings art-house cinema to the most evocative places in Emilia-Romagna, accompanied by wine tastings and small gastronomic wonders. A travelling cultural project that stages the pleasure of watching together, under the stars.
Wednesday 3 September at the MAR will be screened the film The Square by Ruben Östlund in which Christian, an important exhibition curator, creates an exhibition entitled “The Square” that aims to invite people to altruism and sharing. But an accident generates an unexpected reaction in him.
Programme:
meeting at 7.30 p.m. at the MAR with wine tasting
followed by a guided tour of the contemporary mosaic collection by the MAR staff
9.30 p.m. screening of the film

The ticket includes: the screening of the film, a visit to the MAR’s collection of contemporary mosaics and the tasting of 3 glasses of wine narrated by the winery.
Before the screening, it will be possible to dine or nibble on gourmet and delicious local dishes (not included in the ticket)
