What if, instead of asking ourselves what we want to be when we grow up, we went back to asking what we wanted to be when we were little?
From 11 October 2026 to 10 January 2027, Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste hosts What Did You Want to Be When You Were Little?, an exhibition dedicated to Marcantonio, the Ravenna-born artist and designer who returns to the city where he trained with a project spanning more than twenty years of artistic research.
More than 50 works, including sculptures, installations and design objects, explore an imaginative universe of animals, nature, bodies and everyday objects, transformed by the artist into unexpected and surprising presences.
The exhibition brings Marcantonio’s contemporary creativity into dialogue with the historic spaces and frescoes of Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste, creating an encounter between art and design, reality and imagination, irony and wonder.
The title of the exhibition is an invitation to rediscover the perspective of childhood: curious, free and unafraid to ask questions, play and imagine the world differently.
The exhibition includes several new works, alongside creations developed for leading companies and international brands.
The exhibition is organised by the City of Ravenna – Department of Culture and Tourism, the MAR – Art Museum of the City of Ravenna, and the Ravenna State Academy of Fine Arts, curated by Paride Vitale with Nicolas Ballario.
The exhibition will also be open during Ravenna’s Notte d’Oro on Saturday, 17 October.
