Adam Broomberg in conversation with Alessandra Dragoni

Artist, activist and teacher Adam Broomberg will give a presentation open to the public in which, in conversation with photographer Alessandra Dragoni, he will retrace some of the stages of his artistic career, starting with his training and the long friendship that binds the two.

Adam Broomberg (1970, Johannesburg) is an artist, activist and educator. He currently lives and works in Berlin. Broomberg is a member of the teaching staff of the BA in Photography at the Higher Institute for Artistic Industries (ISIA) in Urbino and is practice supervisor of the MA in Photography & Society at The Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague. His most recent work, Anchor in the Landscape, a large-format photographic survey of olive trees in occupied Palestine, was published by MACK books and exhibited at the 60th edition of the Venice Biennale.

 

Admission is free and open to the public until all seats are filled.

The meeting will be held in English, with translation provided for the audience.

The presentation is part of the Elementary School of Photography 25-26 programme.

Scuola elementare di fotografia is a free training course aimed at young people aged 14 to 35 who live or study in Ravenna. It is an atypical course, divided into a series of weekend events between March 2025 and June 2026, which will take place in different locations around the city.
