The Coconino Fest returns to Ravenna for its fifth edition, with a programme dedicated to contemporary art comics.
The MAR is the festival’s main venue and is hosting exhibitions of original artwork by international artists such as David Prudhomme, Olivier Schrauwen, Luz, Miguel Vila and Yamamoto Miki.
The festival also features meetings with authors, live events and performances combining comics, music and theatre, with the participation of guests such as Vinicio Capossela and Paolo Fresu.
Among the new features, the Spring School offers young artists a training course dedicated to comics, whilst new collaborations involve the city’s cultural institutions and the Ravenna Festival.
Coconino Fest thus reaffirms its status as a key event for discovering contemporary comics and meeting its leading figures in person.
