The catalogue Ancient Mosaics of Ravenna \u2013 The Collection of Copies<\/em>, edited by Maria Grazia Marini<\/strong> and published by Edizioni del Girasole<\/strong>, was produced on the occasion of the exhibition held from 15 July to 5 September 2025<\/strong> at the Italian Cultural Institute in London<\/strong>.
The volume presents and enhances the extraordinary collection of copies of Ravenna\u2019s ancient mosaics\u2014a heritage that, since the 1950s, has played a crucial role in promoting the city\u2019s mosaic art and its tradition worldwide.<\/p>\n

The presentation of the catalogue features contributions by Maria Grazia Marini<\/strong>, Head of the Tourism Office of the Municipality of Ravenna; Maria Cristina Carile<\/strong>, a Byzantinist specializing in art and archaeology; Valentina Cimatti<\/strong>, author of the text on the origins of the first exhibition of the mosaic copies; and Alessandra Bollini<\/strong>, author of the descriptive entries on the works and monuments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
