The course introduces participants to the potential of augmented reality (AR) and 3D production in the enhancement of sculptural and mosaic heritage, with a focus also on accessibility and inclusion opportunities. Through the presentation of real case studies, the main methodologies of 3D laser scanning and 3D printing will be illustrated, with practical examples of application in museum restoration and accessibility. The course will also provide an overview of immersive technologies, analysing how AR and VR can improve fruition and interaction with works of art. The activity includes a demonstration part in which participants will be able to observe digital tools and processes at work, understanding the advantages and limits of these technologies in the conservation and valorisation of cultural heritage.
