The Liquefied Throne of Simplicity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Trio \u0160irom<\/b><br \/>\n<strong>The Liquefied Throne of Simplicity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Ana Kravanja\u00a0<\/b><i>viola, daf, ocarina, mizmar, balafon, rebab, vocals<\/i><br \/>\n<b>Iztok Koren\u00a0<\/b><i>guembri, banjo, tank drum, percussions<\/i><br \/>\n<b>Samo Kutin\u00a0<\/b><i>hurdy-gurdy, tempura brac, lyre, lute, acoustic resonators<\/i><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Coming from the Slovenian underground scene and having honed their skills through international collaborations, the members of Trio \u0160irom feed on the multiculturalism that has historically enriched their country \u2013 the Roman, Byzantine and Austro-Hungarian Empires, then the troubled Yugoslavia \u2013 and draw inspiration from the diversity of Slovenia\u2019s environment and landscapes. They propose an inventive and imaginative folk music, the fruit of the reinvention of musical instruments from different countries, sometimes home-made and put together in highly original ways.
